Jaime Dursht

Partner

Attorney Dursht recently joined SIEGEL, COLIN & KAUFMAN PC as Partner. Originally from New York, she began her legal career at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office where she prosecuted hundreds of cases in the New York City Criminal Court. During this time, she received extensive training and experience in jury trials where she honed her advocacy skills, choosing to concentrate in domestic violence. Previously a Partner at a well-respected family law firm in Westport, Attorney Dursht has been practicing family and matrimonial law exclusively for over 10 years and is experienced in all phases of marital dissolution cases, complex custody matters, post-divorce actions, pre and post-nuptial agreements, and appeals. Attorney Dursht currently serves as a co-chair on the Fairfield County Bar Association Family Law Section Committee.

Attorney Dursht is also a trained Collaborative Divorce professional and completed Mediation Training at the Quinnipiac School of Law Center on Dispute Resolution. She is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce, and the Collaborative Professional Practice Groups of Westport and Darien. This background has provided Attorney Dursht excellent skills in both Collaborative Divorce and the mediation process, and she is especially adept at negotiation in the settlement process of traditional divorce.

Attorney Dursht has been selected as a Fairfield County Top Attorney in Family Law by Moffley Media in 2021 and to the Connecticut Super Lawyers list in the area of Family Law for excellence in practice in 2021 and 2022. She is peer-rated as Distinguished for professional achievement and ethical standards by Martindale-Hubbell.

Attorney Dursht earned her law degree at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York where she was a member of the Law Review and the Cardozo Trial Team. While in law school, she published her Note, entitled Judicial Plagiarism: It May Be Fair Use But Is It Ethical? and she was awarded the New York State Bar Association Legal Ethics Award for scholarship in ethics. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with honors, earning a B.A. in History.

Attorney Dursht is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut and she is a member of the Bar Associations of New York, Connecticut, Fairfield County and Greater Bridgeport. She has volunteered her time with pro bono case assignments from the Connecticut Department of Veteran's Affairs, the Connecticut Bar Association's Pro Bono and Volunteer Attorneys programs, the YWCA of Greenwich and as a certified volunteer with the Domestic Violence Crisis Center Legal Department of Stamford.

Attorney Dursht resides in Darien with her husband and has two adult children. She is a member of the Shore and Country Club in Norwalk, she is an avid recreational tennis and pickleball player, and in her spare time she enjoys trying new vegan foods.
